You may think, after first glancing at this blog, that I’m from New Zealand. But you’d be wrong. I was in fact born and bred in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and, despite now living in Cambridge, am a northerner through and through.
So my choice of blog design may need explaining…
I spent a glorious couple of years living in, and travelling around, New Zealand and during this time I fell in love with all things Kiwi including the culture, art, accent and wine (especially the wine!) Even though I don’t have any rightful claim on ‘New Zealand-ness’ I still chose to design this blog à la Kiwi. (The monochrome colour scheme is also a nod to my true Geordie roots.)

very pleased to see the Kiwi theme, even if its also Newcastle – an honorary part of NZ perhaps. The longer I am away from NZ the more I appreciate it. We should meet to share reminiscences, drink wine: I have a stock of jaffas!
